Port Med Formentera to run La Savina marina for 16 years

The Balearic Ports Authority awards La Savina's marina, with over 16 million euros of investment to modernise its facilities.

The Balearic Ports Authority has awarded Port Med Formentera the unified management of the marina at the Port of La Savina for the next 16 years. The concession covers the berths, commercial premises and parking spaces, and comes with an investment of more than 16 million euros to modernise the facilities.

The project includes a full modernisation of the marina and new landscaped areas connected to the seafront promenade, as well as a new commercial building and an underground car park with 90 spaces. On the environmental side, artificial micro-reefs and charging points for electric vehicles are planned.

The works will shape the future of La Savina, Formentera's main gateway by sea, which handles both passenger traffic and leisure boats. The renewal of its facilities will have a direct impact on boating and tourism on the island.
