The Sirius Nautical School is led by Alejandro Grau, and it combines formal education with entrepreneurial activities in the field of recreational and professional boating. This firm provides theoretical and practical training geared towards safe and reliable navigation.
The company offers courses and necessary practicals for the Navigation License, Basic Navigation Captain (PNB), and Recreational Vessel Captain (PER), along with optional sailing practices and the complimentary PER practical. A Navigation License allows for vessels up to 6 m and 2 miles from shelter; a PNB permits up to 8 m and 5 miles; a PER enables navigation of up to 15 m and 12 miles, with a possible extension to 24 m and navigation between the mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands. Alejandro Grau is an experienced instructor and Merchant Marine Offshore Captain, certified to control vessels up to 1600 GT and transport up to 300 passengers. His experience includes studies in Cullera, Valencia, Tenerife, and Alicante, professional work as a journalist, participation in international expeditions, and competitive sailing as the owner-captain of the Salina 37 "Slainte" with multiple regional regatta results.
